Ted Brent Matheson, 84, died Saturday, February 9, 2019. Born in Marlboro County he was the son of the late Roy S. and Clara E. Gainey Matheson. He was a US Airforce Veteran. He was a graduate of the Carlisle Military School. He attended North Carolina State University before volunteering for military service. Ted was very talented and enjoyed playing music by ear. He enjoyed decorating, playing bridge, traveling and working on computers. He was a member of Cheraw First Baptist. Mr. Matheson was a retired insurance adjuster.

Surviving is his sister, Frances M. Leppard of Cheraw, SC, also, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and a sister, Peggy M. Estes.

Due to inclement weather, the funeral service will be held in the chapel at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. Burial following at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
