Jerome “Jerry” B. Therell, 78, died, Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Born in Bennettsville, SC he was a son of the late Jerome B. “J.B.” Therrell Sr. and Alma Lee McLaurin Therrell. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and the Army National Guard. He was a lifetime Methodist and a member of First United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC. (50+years). He enjoyed mission work by serving in the Red Bird Mission Projects in Beverly, Kentucky (10 years), also with a mission group in Haiti. Mr. Therell served in the Civitans of Cheraw, the Jaycees and a local Prayer and Praise Group.

Surviving is his wife, Sarah Margaret Perkins Therrell of Cheraw, SC, a son, Joseph B (Stacy Deering) Therrell of Front Royal VA, a daughter, Marsha T. (Joe) Gentry of Cheraw, SC, a granddaughter, Joanna Gentry, brothers, Al Therrell of Florence, SC, Wayne Therrell of Greenville SC, and Charles Therrell of Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, a brother, Donald Therrell and a sister, Linda T. McLaurin.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2020 in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cheraw, SC. The family will receive friends following the service.
