William Harold Gathings, Sr.

W. Harold Gathings, Sr., 81, died Sunday, April 12, 2015. Born in Anson County, NC he was a son of the late T.C. and Idaleen Hubbard Gathings. He was the widower of Frances Gathings. He was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Wallace, SC. He was retired from Delta Woodside (40+year).

Surviving are his sons, William Harold Gathings, Jr., Keith (Joyce) Gathings all of Cheraw, SC, a brother, Thomas (Sandra) Gathings of Lexington, SC, sisters Ruth Brigman of Lexington, SC, Janet (Charles) Teal of Chesterfield, SC, grandchildren, John Gathings and Michaela Gathings.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents listed above, also a brother, Albert Gathings, a sister, Mary Buck and a grandchild, Tyler Gathings.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
