William "Bill" Purvis

William “Bill” Robert Purvis, 67, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Born in Hartsville, SC he was the son of the late Allean Purvis. He was a gold prospector and always had time to help others.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years Kathryn Rigney Purvis of Patrick, SC, a son Charles Purvis of Patrick, SC, daughters Ellen Purvis of Kannapolis, NC, Robin Purvis of Chilhowie, VA, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Bill’s Grill in Patrick, SC. A memorial service will be held during the visitation.
