Wayne Jennings Lynch, aged 78, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026. Born on April 17, 1948 in Milford, DE, Wayne was the beloved son of the late Martin and Evelyn C. Lynch. A dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cheraw, SC, he was an avid gardener, a lover of books, and found joy in caring for his goats.

Wayne earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administrationfrom the University of Delaware and worked as a financial analyst, showcasing dedication and hard work in his career.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Joy Bates Lynch, his step-daughters, Kim Cauthen (Bill) of Cheraw, SC, and Celeste Hatch (David) of Anderson, SC. Wayne also leaves behind a sister, Karen Chamblee of Seaford, DE, and grandchildren Elizabeth and Bayley Hydrick, Caden Cauthen, and Joshua, Hailey, Lilly, and Cooper Hatch.

Preceding him in death were his step-son, Chris Hydrick, his brother, Merrill Lynch, sister-in-law Ellen Lynch, and brother-in-law Walter Chamblee, Jr.

Wayne's life was a testament to love, family, and commitment, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 24 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Cheraw, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Lynch family in their time of grief.
