Tracy Allen Foster, 58, died on Friday, February 9, 2024.  Born, January 16, 1966, in Cleveland, OH, he was a son of Kenneth Lee Foster, Jr. and Karen Sue Miller Price.

For my father, everything was an adventure.  Thinking back on his life, talking with friends and family about memories of Dad.  One thing became clear listening to everyone’s stories.  He lived his life fully.  He lived with passion, love, and an abundance of humor. He also lived for his family.   His first son was born in 1985.   He moved to Connecticut in 1986 and met our mother and began his life’s greatest adventure.  They had three sons, Tom, John (Author), and Jr.  He loved his sports and instilled that love in all of us.   He coached us through the years and showed us the importance of getting back up when you get knocked down.  When we started having children of our own, he really found his calling.  He loved his grandchildren more than life itself.  He loved spending time with them and teaching them.  Even something as simple as going to lunch had to be an adventure.   Dad could not just bring the kids to Burger King, he had to bring them inside, and get everyone hats, sit inside, and play with the kids.  The ride home also could not just be a straight shot, he would drive down roads he hadn’t been down before, looking for “Spots”, as dad would call them, such as fishing holes, or farms to show the kids the animals.  That was dad, everything was an adventure.  He took something most people looked at as a chore and made it exciting and fun.  He loved meeting new people.  He would take his dogs everywhere he went, and always too time to talk to anyone who would dare ask about them (the poor people just wanted to know what kind of dogs they were, not a full lineage, and how dad got them, and on what day, what the weather was like and what the government was doing wrong), but that was dad.   He made friends everywhere he went.   He loved his animals and people, but most of all, he loved his family.  In 2021, our mother, his Mamie, finally said yes and married him after 35 years.   Not for lack of trying of course, in his words, “it only took 35 years”.  He was the happiest man in the world that day, and every day he got to spend with his wife, and his family.  I could write a book on our father’s life, and not be able to capture the man, the myth, and the legend.  I have found solace in knowing that Dad lived his life, filled with great people, sharing love and laughs.  He loved fully and unconditionally, and I know so many loved him the same way.  He would not want us dwelling on his passing, he would want us together, sharing stories, laughs, and remembering all the joy he brought so many of us.  Dad, you were loved by everyone you touched, you will never be forgotten.  Rest easy old man, we got it from here.

Tracy was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Foster.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Ellen McFarline Foster of the home, sons, Anthony Mancuso of Florida, Thomas Foster of Bethany, CT, John Foster of Middletown, CT, and Tracy Foster, Jr. of Marion, SC; his parents, Karen Sue Rice of  West Farmington, OH, and Kenneth Foster of the Philippines; his brothers, Perry King of Pennsylvania, and Dwayne Foster (Nicole) of Jensen Beach, FL; sisters, Alice “Sissy” Cook of West Farmington, OH, Hope Clayton of Canton, OH, and Jennifer Foster of Jupiter, FL; eleven grandchildren, and one on the way; and his daughters of the heart, Farrah Foster, Allyson Howes, and Heather Ferrara.
