Trace MacPherson Shipley, 14, died Friday, May 30, 2014. Born in Florence, SC he was a son of Joe (Anissa) Shipley and Tracie (Scott) Douglas. Trace was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and watersports. He played soccer and baseball. He had an infectious smile and a warm and loving heart.

Surviving is his mother Tracie (Scott) Douglas, father Joe (Anissa) Shipley, brother, Bryce Shipley, sister, Anaclaire Shipley all of Cheraw, SC,  maternal great grandmother, Christine McPherson of Cheraw, SC, maternal grandparents, Linda M. Quick of Cheraw, SC, Larry Cassidy of Maggie Valley, NC, paternal grandmother, Ann Shipley of Cheraw, SC, step-brothers, Preston Keith of Valdosta, GA, Noah Keith, Tucker Douglas and a step-sister, Carly Douglas all of Cheraw, SC. Also, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mackie J. Shipley and maternal great grandfather Charles H. McPherson.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Long Middle School (Gym).

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, June 2, 2014 at Cheraw First Baptist Church. A committal service will follow in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
