Tommy Clayton English, (T.), was received into heaven on March 9, 2026.

Born on March 15, 1959, in Bennettsville, SC, he was the son of Tommy and Grace English. A graduate of Cheraw High School, he excelled in academics and leadership as class salutatorian, President of the National Honor Society, a student at the Governor’s School, a member of American Legion Boys State, the head of Junior Marshals, and a PC Fellow. He also excelled athletically playing both baseball and tennis.

Tommy earned a bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of South Florida. He served eleven years in the United States Air Force as an aviation engineer. A proud veteran, he carried a lifelong love for his country and shared that passion with everyone he met. His hobbies included playing guitar, daily long walks, and writing computer programs.

To his loved ones and all who crossed his path, Tommy exhibited exceptional intellect, empathy, and compassion. His deep devotion to his family and friends left an indelible impact. His quiet, gentle presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sisters: Maureen Williams, Angela Dent (Marshall), Susie Blackburn, and Melissa Bailey (Gene); by a predeceased brother, Scotty Webster (Sherry); and by a special friend, Denise Graham.

The funeral service will occur at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, South Carolina. A graveside service will follow at Oak Grove Ministries in Wallace, South Carolina.
