Samuel Jervey DuPre´ III, husband of Ann Hall Waring DuPre´ died peacefully on November 3, 2016 in Mount Pleasant, SC.  The family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Jervey DuPre´ are invited to attend the graveside services in Old St. David’s Cemetery, Cheraw, SC on Monday, November 7, 2016 at one o’clock. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at two o’clock in St. Philip’s Church, Charleston, SC.

Mr. DuPre´ was born May 22, 1945, in Bennettsville, SC, a son of Samuel Jervey DuPre´, Jr. and Blanche Kinsey Evans DuPre´. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University and received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The Citadel.  While serving in the US Navy in San Diego, California Mr. DuPre´ began his love for sailing and continued this pursuit in Charleston forging many lifelong friendships.  He was a nuclear engineer and owner of Program Services, Inc. After retirement Mr. DuPre´ became an avid bicyclist. He enjoyed the sport and friends he made through it immensely. He was a member of St. Philip’s Church, Sea Island Yacht Club, Carolina Yacht Club, and the Huguenot Society of South Carolina.

He is survived by his wife of Mount Pleasant, SC; a daughter Elizabeth DuPre´ Brown and her husband Alton of Mount Pleasant, SC; one granddaughter Eliza DuPre´ Brown; a brother Thomas Evans DuPre´ and his wife Meri; a sister Mildred DuPre´ Kitchell and her husband Rusty.
