Ruth Pace

Cheraw, SC

Ruth Strait Pace , 79, died Sunday, July 15, 2012.  Born in Rock Hill, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Wallace and Kathleen Canady Strait.  She was the widow of William Richard Pace.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for 50+ years.  Mrs. Pace enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, being a volunteer at Chesterfield General Hospital and working at her church.

Surviving are her son, Rickey (Susie) Pace of Cheraw, SC, daughters, Margaret (Sidney) Wallace of Wallace, SC, Susan (Alan) Lane of Florence, SC, brothers, James E. Striat, Billy E. Striat, Raymond W. Strait all of Rock Hill, SC, sisters, Betty Jo Byrun of Charlotte, NC, Doris Bagley and Margaret Mitchell both of Rock Hill, SC, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above and a sisters, Katherine Deas and Frances Vinson.

The family will receive friends 10:00 am Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.  A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC.
