Rosalyn Stevenson Anhalt, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. Born in Eglin Field AFB, FL, she was the beloved daughter of the late Colonel Ernest Stevenson and Ada Evans Stevenson. A dedicated member of St. David’s Church, Rose lived a life enriched by her faith and community.

Rose began her professional journey as an airline stewardess with United Airlines before returning home to Cheraw. She then served as a bank teller for several years, later transitioning to a fulfilling career as a secretary. Known for her passion for reading true crime novels and enjoying murder mysteries on television, Rose found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Most importantly, Rose cherished the time spent with her family. She and her husband, Russell Anhalt, shared 40 wonderful years together. Her legacy lives on through her daughter, Tonda Renee Quick of Cheraw, SC, grandchildren Hannah Huckabee, Chaz Quick, Caleb Hastings, Katie Anhalt, great-grandchildren, Hunter McLain and Ella Huckabee and a goddaughter Mary Davis Anderson.

Rose was preceded in death by her son, Edward Wayne Anhalt, and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 17, 2025 at St. Davids Episcopal Church, 420 Market Street, Cheraw, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the St. David's Cemetery Fund, PO Box 1196, Cheraw, SC 29520.

Rosalyn will be fondly remembered for her love of family and her warm spirit.
