Robert "Bob" Kiser

Cheraw, SC

Robert “Bob” G. Kiser, 88, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Born in Lebanon, VA, he was a son of the late Arthur Gaines and Myrtie Elizabeth Hubbard Kiser. He was retired from James Fabrics (Burlington) with 38 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran. Mr. Kiser was a member of First Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC where he had served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and in the Baptist Men. He was a member of the Berean SS Class. When he was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bristol TN; he participated in church plays and sang in a quartet. In high school he was an All-star Athlete and was an avid water-skier.

Surviving is his wife, Jane Kiser of the home, a son, Kip (Janice) Kiser of Chesterfield, SC, a daughter, Kathy (Bill) Brown of Youngsville, NC, a sister, Angie Kelly of Meadowview, VA, grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Adam Brown, Andrew Brown, Rachel Kiser and Graham Kiser, also 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Edgar Kiser, Clifford Kiser, and Fred Kiser, and a sister Dora Vaught.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, August 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church Family Life Center, Cheraw, SC. Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
