Robert Lockey

Cheraw, SC

Robert "Bob" Lockey , 69, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012.  Born in McColl, SC, he was the son of Rosa Lee Martin Lockey of McColl, SC, and the late Robert L. Lockey.  He was a member, Sunday School Teacher and Lay Leader at First United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC.  Bob was very passionate about his Church and Church family.  He served with The Sandhills Emmaus Community, and as a Lay director of Sand Hills Emmaus Walk # 61, also with the Teen Aged Prison Ministry and Relay for Life.  He loved Tar Heel sports, golf, beach music and Shag dancing.

Surviving are his wife Micki Poole Lockey of the home, daughters, Lee Anne (Jason) Godfrey of Florence, SC, and Kathryn Paige Lockey of the home, his mother listed above, grandchildren, Sarah and Drew Godfrey and his faithful dog, Macy.

He is preceded in death by his father listed above.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC.  The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the Memorial Service.
