Richard Warren Greene, Sr.,87, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025. He was born on August 13, 1937, in Pageland, SC, to the late John Warren and Elizabeth Moore Greene.

Richard was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with B.C. Moore & Sons, where he retired after 45 years of exemplary service. Following his college education, Richard and his late wife, Martha Greene, lived in Williamston, SC, and Aiken, SC, during his tenure with the company. After serving in the Army, he managed the B.C. Moore & Sons store in Asheboro, NC. In addition to his professional achievements, he was an active member of the Rotary Club and served on the Board of Directors for the Randolph Memorial Foundation. His passions included golf, fishing, traveling the world, hunting, and gardening.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Bouchillon Greene; his parents; a grandson, Jake David; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Royal Greene.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Greene, of the home; his son, Richard Warren Greene, Jr. (Laura) of Cary, NC; his daughter, Stephanie Greene David (Jay) of Dillon, SC; his granddaughter, Hannah Greene Wilson (Christopher) of Clemmons, NC; his great-grandchildren, Everley Wilson and Anders Wilson; and his brother, David Greene of Pageland, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in the Sanctuary of Cheraw First Baptist Church.  

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:30 a.m. just prior to the service in the family life center.

Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Greene family in their time of grief.
