Peter “Pete” William Baker, 73, died Thursday, January 07, 2021. Born in Raleigh, NC he was a son of the late Joseph Mack Baker and Amanda Carol Baker Richardson. He was a believer in the Presbyterian Faith. and was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans. He enjoyed racing, golf, working in the yard and making things grow. He was a member of the “State Park Boys” and loved people and cared deeply for his nuts and bolts family.
Pete devoted his life to his family especially his two girls Anna Maria and Rebecca “Beck”. With Anna he shared the love and passion for the game of golf. With “Beck” he shared her love and joy of riding in a golf cart. They always shared a bond that could be matched by no other.
Surviving is his wife, Pam Covington Baker of Cheraw, SC, daughters, Anna Maria Baker (Craig) Watson of Cheraw, SC, Rebecca Caroline Baker of Cheraw, SC, grandchildren, McKenzie (Matty) Cunningham, William Ingold, Savannah (Josh) Coffey, Kyle Watson and great grandchildren, Emilia Cunningham, Hayes Cunningham, Arlington Coffey, a sister of the heart, Barbara (Jimmy) Hill,a grandson of the heart, Austin Sanderson, a brother, Joseph (Martha) Baker of Charlotte, NC, a sister, Anne Bryan of Newton, NJ, a sister-in-law, Rosalie Baker of Little River, SC, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, who were all special in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, also, a brother, James Baker and a brother-in-law, Bill Bryan.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Old Saint David’s Cemetery, Cheraw, SC. It will also be live-streamed via Kiser Funeral Home Facebook page.
The family will receive friends following the service.
