Mrs. Johnnie Cole, 83, formerly of Cheraw, SC, died Saturday, January 9, 2016. Born in Cheraw, SC, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Julia Herndon Thompson. Mrs. Cole was the widow of C. Elbert Cole. She was formerly a member of First Presbyterian Church of Cheraw, SC and a retired textile employee with Southern Weaving.

Mrs. Cole is survived by her sons, Robert Cole of Greenville, SC, and Frank Lynn Cole of Traveler’s Rest, SC, a daughter, Julie Cole of Greenville, SC, a brother, John Thompson (Emma) of Dalzell, SC, a sister, Mattie Belk of Rock Hill, SC, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents listed above.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Old Saint David’s Church in Cheraw, SC.

The family will receive friends starting at 10:30 AM before the funeral service.
