Jeffrey "Britt" Hart, Jr.

Bennettsville, SC

Jeffrey “Britt” Hart, Jr., 30, died on Sunday, June 19, 2022.  Born, June 21, 1991, in Florence, SC, he was the son of Jeffrey Britt Hart, Sr. and Karessa Powell Hart.  Britt was a musician, scholar, finishing his college degree in December of this year, and a devoted father.  He loved the drums, making music for the church, reading, and listening to NPR Radio.  Britt was a member of Amazing Grace Ministries in Cheraw, SC and went on several Mission Trips to the Dominican Republic.  He was a gentle giant, and his number one priority and accomplishment was his family.  He enjoyed traveling to unknown places and spending quality time with his entire family at Santee Lake.  His best days were spent playing on the floor with his daughters, cuddling on the couch with his wife, and taking a spin on his "street legal dirt bike".  Britt was quick to laugh and quick to love and enjoyed a good debate with anyone.  His infectious grin and goofy laugh brought joy to everyone, and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Britt was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Conrad and Lillian Hart.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Sarah Katherine Hart of the home; his precious daughters, Lila Britt Hart and Billie Blythe Hart of the home; his parents, Jeffrey Britt Hart, Sr. and Karessa Powell Hart of Cheraw, SC; brothers, Matthew Austin Hart (Sam) of Aberdeen, NC, and Christopher Ryan Hart  of Cheraw, SC; a sister, Brianna Danae’ Hart (Nathan Quick) of Cheraw, SC; maternal grandparents, Kenneth Ray Powell and Theresa Eaddy Powell of Timmonsville, SC; mother-in-law, Terri Godbold of Darlington, SC; father-in-law, Jerry Godbold of Cheraw, SC; Aunt, Kendi Weatherford (Jose) of Timmonsville, SC; brother-in-law, Brad Godbold (Patty) of Tennessee; cousins, Hustin Melton, Baelee Melton, Graecee Melton, and Joey Weatherford; and many other, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
