James (JB) Brasington

Cheraw, SC

J. B. Brasington, Jr., 88, died Sunday, October 11, 2020. Born in Cheraw, SC he was a son of the late James Bayard Brasington, Sr. and Roxanna Nathalie Burch Brasington. He was a US Air Force Veteran. J. B. retired from the Town of Cheraw, Water Department. He was a lifetime member of Cheraw First Baptist Church and was a Sunday School greeter for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Phil Creek Hunt Club. J.B. enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by a sister, Eunice B. Hinson of Cheraw, SC, a brother, Henry Brasington of Cheraw, SC and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, a sister, Kathleen Chestnut, brothers, Bobby Brasington, and Gene Brasington.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. The family will receive friends following the service.
