Ina Aven Coggeshall, 91, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, she was the beloved daughter of the late Callie Bishop and Lewis Stanford Aven, and the cherished widow of Dr. Berryman “Ted” Coggeshall.

Ina graduated from Mississippi College for Women in 1956, after attending Yazoo City schools in her hometown. In 1961, she moved to Cheraw, South Carolina, where she became deeply engaged in her community. Her leadership and dedication were evident through her active roles at First Presbyterian Church, where she held various offices. Ina was also a member of the Four Seasons Garden Club, the Pink Ladies at the hospital, and served on the South Carolina Foster Care Board for ten years. She played a key role in establishing the Mercy & Me Free Clinic, showcasing her commitment to helping others.

She is survived by her son, Berryman Edwards (Julie) Coggeshall III of Murrells Inlet, SC; daughters, Callie Coggeshall Andrews of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Lucia Coggeshall of Murrells Inlet, SC; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Avery (Dennis) Coggeshall Krasinski, Berryman E. (Marlee) Coggeshall IV, Lucia (Brett) Jeanette Griffith, and Ina (Matt) Rae Troutman and precious great-grandchildren, Porter Caleb Krasinski, Denson Avery Krasinski, Knox Carter Griffith, and Abel Levi Griffith.

Ina was preceded in death by her husband and parents, along with a grandson, Caleb Wilds Coggeshall.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at The Wine Factory, 165 Second Street, Cheraw, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 552, Cheraw, SC 29520; McArn Food Bank, 131 Second Street, Cheraw, SC 29520; or to a charity of one’s choice.
