Gene A. Rivers, 57, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Born in Patrick, SC he was the son of Helen Rae Petty of Florence, SC and the late A.C. Rivers. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Surviving is his wife, Carolyn Rivers, sons, Jason (Heather) Rivers, Kelvin (Ashley) Rivers all of Wallace, SC, his mother listed above,  grandchildren, Makayla Steen, Makenzi Rivers, Anna Rivers, Landon Nolan, Hank Rivers, and Hunner Rivers.

The family will receive friends 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Kiser Funeral Home, Thursday, June 5, 2014. Inurnment will be in Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
