Garry Lamar Medlang, 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Born, October 23, 1938, in Joice, IA, he was a son of the late Palmer and Alice Thompson Medlang.

Garry was an avid sports fan but especially loved baseball and basketball. He was a great man to all who knew him.

Along with his parents, listed above, Garry was preceded in death by brothers, Vernell Medlang and Wayne Medlang.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters, Julie Medlang Kennington of Ridgeland, MS and Vickie Medlang Banwart of Lake Mills, IA; a sister, Delores Steffenson of Buffalo Center, IA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

No formal services are planned at this time.
