Frances H. Burgess, 79, died, Wednesday, June 04, 2014. Born in Morgan, OH she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha Callihan Little. She was the widow of Howard Charles Burgess. She was a member of Bruton’s Fork Baptist Church, Bennettsville, SC. She worked with Girl Scouts of all ages, at the GSA camp in Marlboro County she was affectionately known as “Rangerette”.

Surviving is her son, Larry Burgess of Bennettsville, SC, a daughter, Becky (John) Brock of Chesterfield, SC, brothers, Lawrence Lyttle, Arthur Lyttle both of Lawrenceburg, IN, sisters, Joyce Huffman of Lawrenceburg, IN, Berdina Carter of Grottes, VA, Myrtle White of Lawrenceburg, IN, Linda Badore of Cocoa, FL, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Chesterfield, SC. A funeral service will be held 3:30 PM, Sunday, June 8, 2014  at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Chesterfield, SC. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Bennettsville, SC.
