Eleanor Anderson

Cheraw, SC

Eleanor McLendon Anderson , 91, died Monday, September 10, 2012.  Born in Augusta, GA she was a daughter of the late Clemmons Calhoun and Cleo Edith Byrd Anderson.  She was retired from James Fabrics (Highland Industries) in Cheraw, SC.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, SC.  Ms. Anderson was an avid golfer and had received her green jacket on the Women's Tournament Circuit.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening and sports.

She is survived by nieces, Martha Holbert Gore, Jane (Roy) Holbert Talbert, a nephew, James R Holbert, III all of Conway, SC, also several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, and sisters Mae Boyd (James) Holbert and Carmle Cleo "Bunny" Anderson.

The family will receive friends 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Kiser Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
