Douglas B. Boan, Hamlet, N.C.

Douglas Boan of Hamlet passed away December 6th, 2025. Doug was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina and was raised in Wallace. He is one of ten children to the late Geneva and Curtis Boan. Along with his parents, Doug is preceded in death by all his siblings

.Growing up in Wallace, SC; Doug was a graduate of Wallace Highschool. Following this, he would quickly join the workforce. Doug was employed at B.C. Moore for over forty years as a Warehouse Supervisor. In his retirement, he was an avid fan of college sports; his favorite football team was the South Carolina Gamecocks. Doug was a man that everyone knew. He was well-loved and got along with everyone he met. He is a man that will be missed by many.

Doug is survived by his nieces Tygerr Teal her son Tyrn Teal. He is further survived by a great host of distant nieces, nephews and great-nieces/nephews.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet, Wednesday December10th, 2025 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. A memorial service will be followed at 3:30 pm with Pastor Phillip Jones officiating.
