Donald Eugene "Gene"
Parker
October 11, 1966 – May 28, 2026
Kiser Funeral Home
6:00 - 8:00 pm (Eastern time)
Hartsville, SC
Donald Eugene “Gene” Parker, 59, went to rest on Thursday, May 28, 2026, in Hartsville, South Carolina.
Born October 11, 1966, to George “Bogan” Parker and Frances Ann Bryant Parker in Cheraw, South Carolina, Gene was the youngest and most beloved of his family. He is preceded in death by both parents, his brother George Parker, and Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Parker Noel.
Gene is survived by his two daughters Kaitlyn Parker and Morgan Berry (Joseph), along with his grandchildren Gianna Lowery and Collin Lowery, all of which he loved dearly. He was loved and cared for by many people from his life including Nicola Chapman (Scott) and Dianne Brown, his nieces Michael “Mica” Dowdy (Travis) and Jade Johnson (David), and lifelong friends and loved ones including Joe Cox among others.
Dedicated to providing for those he cared for and his community, Gene worked a number of years at Honda, Mar-Mac, and Alstrom where he was given the opportunity to impact the people he worked with as well as travel the world including trips to Japan on behalf of the company.
Throughout his life there were few things he cared about and bragged on more than his family and his Carolina Gamecocks. That is until he became a Grandpappy to his grandchildren who quickly became the light of his life.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family also thanks his care team in his final days including the Intensive Care Unit at Carolina Pines Hospital.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Parker family in their time of grief.
