Daniel Griffen “Danny” Bradshaw, 77, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Born, April 14, 1949, in Bennettsville, SC, he was a son of the late Marion Otis and Earline Grantt Bradshaw.
A proud veteran, Danny honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from March 1969 until October 1972. His sense of duty and humility reflected every aspect of his life. A devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cheraw, South Carolina, he lived his faith quietly and sincerely. Danny also held fond memories as a former Shriner in Bennettsville.
Danny was known far and wide as a gentle giant with a heart of gold, a man who wouldn’t harm a fly and always had a kind word to share. His playful spirit and quick wit made him a beloved jokester among family and friends. A natural handyman, Danny loved nothing more than tinkering in his shop, skillfully taking things apart only to make them work better. His passion for classic cars, especially Mustangs and Corvettes, was well known, as was his enjoyment of his “toys,” including cars, jeeps, boats, and jet skis. He loved the outdoors, whether on the golf course or at the beach, and cherished every moment spent with his family, especially with “His Kathy,” the love of his life and his devoted wife of 38 years.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Otis and Earline Grantt Bradshaw; his brother, Jackie Dean Bradshaw; his sister, Marian Bradshaw Avent; and his sister-in-law, Teresa Ingram.
He leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by his beloved wife Kathy Ingram Bradshaw; nephews Fred Avent, Jr., Dean Bradshaw, Jr., Bradshaw Avent, Charlie Ingram, Bradley Hance, and David Hance; nieces Tiffany A. Clark, Heather B. Schauer, Sara Ingram, and Kelley Ingram; brothers-in-law Chip M. Ingram, Jr. and Andy R. Ingram (Susie); sisters-in-law Jayne I. Hance (Ken), Kelley I. Grantt (John), and Mary H. Bradshaw; many great-nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companion, Amos Ingram Bradshaw.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens in Cheraw, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Purple Crusaders Working to End Alzheimer’s, PO BOX 493, Cheraw, SC 29520; or to the Marlboro County Humane Society, PO BOX 135, Bennettsville, SC 29512.
