Cheryl Jones Joplin, aged 73, died on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Born in Cheraw, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Delores and James E. "Dozzy" Jones. Cheryl was known for her warmth and love of gathering people together, often hosting family events and perfecting holiday decorations with great care. Her creative spirit shone through her personalized gifts. She was always crafty and loved to please people. A devoted animal lover, she treasured her dogs, Bella and Sweet Pea, who predeceased her. Her greatest joy was found in her grandchildren.

Cheryl was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cheraw.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jimmy Joplin, Jr. of Cheraw, SC, a son, Johnny Frazier of Cheraw, SC, sisters, Allison (Ron) Freeman of Cheraw, SC, Kathy Cook of Cheraw, SC, Vickie Hughes of Florence, SC and Melinda Greene of Cheraw, SC, and her grandchildren, Summer, Autumn, and Akari.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, a son, Christopher Frazier, and a sister, Beth Eddins.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Travis Novinger and his staff, as well as the staff of Crescent Hospice for their exceptional care.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 19, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Kiser Funeral Home.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
