Cheryl Cutchin Childress, 63, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Born in Raleigh, NC, Cheryl was a daughter of Mary "Sue" Cutchin and the late Richard L. Cutchin.

A proud 1981 graduate of Cheraw High School, Cheryl cherished her time with family and had a passion for horror films, crafting, and collecting—especially Scooby Doo items. She was an esteemed member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the AARP.

Cheryl is survived by her loving children, Danielle Bridges Brown of Chesterfield, SC and Jonathan Bridges of Cheraw, SC; her devoted mother, Sue Cutchin of Ruby, SC; brothers, Dr. Richard C. Cutchin of High Point, NC, and John Cutchin of Chesterfield, SC; sisters, Sandi Beal of Ruby, SC, and Dawn Johnson of Waynesville, NC; and nine cherished grandchildren.

Her father, Richard L. Cutchin, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Kiser Funeral Home.

A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM at Kiser Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Childress family in their time of grief.
