Mr. Charlie Adam Childers, 84, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born, August 17, 1936, in Marlboro County, SC he was a son of the late Charlie Tillman Childers and the late Rodie Idell Lyons Childers.  Charlie was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Cheraw, SC and was a Certified Technician at Cheraw Yarn Mill for 35 years.  He loved to work on cars, especially his 1952 Chevrolet Pickup Truck that he built from the ground up.  Mr. Childers also loved racing and carpentry work, building many things at his and his sons’ homes.

Along with his parents, listed above, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Childers; a sister, Mary Ann Childers Tipton; and a granddaughters, Spring Bryant and Maggie Webster.

Mr. Childers leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 67 years, Annie Sue Honeycutt Childers of the home; sons, Danny Charles Childers, and wife, Anne of Cheraw, SC, and Dennis Adam Childers, and wife, Vicky of Patrick, SC; a daughter, Robin Lynn Bryant and husband, Jeffrey of Pageland, SC; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Kiser Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens in Cheraw, SC.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Kiser Funeral Home.
