Charles Edward Thomas, Sr., 84, died, Sunday, October 19, 2014. Born in Arkabutla, MS he was a son of the late Haskell and Dubbie Leonia Allen Thomas. He attended three years at Draugh’s Business School, Memphis, TN. He was a US Army Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict from 1949 to 1953. He had been a Deacon of Wallace Baptist Church and currently was Deacon Emeritus of Bruton’s Fork Baptist Church. He was retired and had worked eight years (printer)   with American Finishing Company and forty years (supervisor 1961-2001) with J. P. Stevens. He enjoyed fishing.

Surviving is his wife, Lottie Goin Thomas of Wallace, SC, sons, Charles Edward “Eddie” (Joyce) Thomas, Jr. of Lilesville, NC, Ralph (Pam) Thomas of Wallace, SC, Keith (Glenda) Thomas of Cheraw, SC, a daughter, Debbie (Dave) Thomas Bosworth of West End, NC, brothers, Leroy Thomas of Senatobia, MS, Hugh Thomas of Memphis, TN, a sister, Laura Mae T. Dixon of Chicago, IL, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, brothers Bobby Thomas, Lewis Thomas, Otis Thomas, sisters, Mildred Bennett and Gennie Bell Byler.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 20, 2014 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Wallace Baptist Church, Wallace, SC. Burial with military honors will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw, SC.
