Catherine Creech Coates, 78, died Wednesday, February 07, 2018. Born in Marlboro County she was a daughter of the late Hamer and Manara “Pete” Jacobs Creech. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church, Cheraw, SC. Mrs. Coates was retired from Stanley Tools. She was an avid reader.

Surviving is her husband, L.C. Coates of Cheraw, SC, sons, David (Sheila) Coates of Rock Hill, SC, Donald (Jennifer) Coates of Cheraw, SC, Dennis (Amanda) Coates of Chesterfield, SC, 5 grandchildren, a brother, Hamer Wilson (Jo Ann) Creech of Wray, GA, sisters, Evelyn King of Chesterfield, SC, Wanda Webster of Hamlet, NC, Julia (Terry) Carter of Anderson, SC, Martha (Roy) Burr of Laurens, SC, also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, also, brothers-in-law, Ted King and William Webster.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, February 9, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.
