Carrie Irene Dixon Brewington, 85, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Born in Chesterfield, SC she was a daughter of the lateJohn Wesley and Serena Gainey Dixon. She was the widow of William Edward Brewington and formally the widow of Woodrow Starling. She was a member of North Cheraw Baptist Church. One accomplishment she was proud of was receiving her High School Diploma in 1991 at the age of 58. She enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her sons, Gerald (Debbie W.) Starling of Cheraw, SC, Joe (Donna H.) Starling of Hartsville, SC, Jay Starling of Florence, SC, a daughter, Debra Griggs of Cheraw, SC, daughter-in-law, Martha W. Starling of Wallace, SC, 11 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands listed above, also a son, Ronnie Starling and a son-in-law, Danny Griggs. She was the last of her many siblings.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 26, 2018 at North Cheraw Baptist Church. Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
