Calvin Melton

Calvin Lee Melton, 66, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015.  Born in Cheraw, SC he was the son of the late Calvin D. and Mary Melton.  He was the widower of Annie Elizabeth Melton. He was a member of the Truckers Association and a past member of the FFA.  He earned an Associate’s degree in ARC Welding and Residential Electrical.  His hobbies included wood working.

Surviving are his daughter, Anita Foster of Cheraw, sisters Linda Smith and Faye Wallace both of Cheraw, five grandchildren and one soon to be great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents listed above, and a daughter, Patricia Hewitt.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Friday, April 17, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 17, 2015 at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw, SC.  Burial will be at Oak Grove Methodist Church, Wallace, SC.
