Dr. Berryman Edwards “Ted” Coggeshall, Jr., 85, died Saturday, December 27, 2014. He was the son of the late Lurline Parrott and Berryman Edwards Coggeshall, Sr.. He was a graduate of St. John’s High School, Darlington, SC, attended Duke University obtaining a BS in Biology – Phi Beta Kappa, Doctor of Medicine, Duke University – Alpha Omega Alpha, Intern at Philadelphia General Hospital, President Blockley Medical Society, Residency in General Surgery at Tulane University. Dr. Coggeshall was a member, Deacon, and Elder at First Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, SC, past member of the Board of Directors of Chesterfield General Hospital, past Board of Trustee member at Francis Marion University, past Board member of Kiwanis, Board member at Mercy in Me Free Medical Clinic, member of Cheravians, recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award from Cheraw Chamber of Commerce, Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver, currently on Board of Matheson Memorial Library.

Dr. Coggeshall is survived by his wife, Ina Aven Coggeshall of Cheraw, SC, a son, Berryman Edwards Coggeshall, III of Murrells Inlet, SC, daughters, Callie Andrews of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lucia Coggeshall of Murrells Inlet, SC, a brother, William Dargan Coggeshall of Murrells Inlet, SC, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and a brother, Albert Parrott Coggeshall.

The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, December 29, 2014 at the home.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, Cheraw, SC.
